i emailed the unofficial trainer of this mountain climbing trip and asked him how i would know when i’m in good enough shape to climb the mountain. i figured i’d need to be able to run a mile in 8 minutes or something. he said i’d definitely be ready when i could do a “murph” in under 60 minutes
so i googled murph. it is as follows:
run 1 mile
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 squats
run 1 mile
so i have some more work to do.
and i didn’t help myself any this weekend. we celebrated birthday’s so i pigged out at brio (excellent italian restaurant), buca di beppo (another eeexcellent italian restaurant), zorba’s (can’t get enough greek food)…not to mention cookies, birthday cakes, and all that.
does repeatedly lifting a fork to my mouth count as a work out?
