If you are wondering about freezing other kinds of eggs, like the baby making ones, if you have $13,000+ to spare, that may be an option for you. I’m pretty sure they don’t scramble them first though.

We had a fun filled family weekend that included our AC breaking on Friday afternoon. It’s still not working on the bedroom side of the house. Before you get too worried, we are surviving and finding ways to stay cool. Hopefully the problem will be resolved soon. Anyway, amidst all of our celebrating, we discussed the significance of the day and the kid’s responses were surprising.
Carter wept for the men and women who have given their lives for our freedom. We are all thankful for this country. Happy Independence Day!
Usually when watching a video, the kids go practically comatose, melting into the sofa cushions and only blinking when the end credits start rolling. But this is kind of a new TV watching position.
He actually noticed me despite being plugged into the tube. It was only long enough to holler at me not to take his picture and complain that the flash was too bright.
Last week was so busy. For some people that is normal. Not for us. We’re pretty laid back and go with the flow. That is all code, of course, for “we’re pretty boring”. But last week we had VBS every day, two evening social gatherings, I had to work twice and Chad had a free lance job on the weekend. We were all pretty pooped by weeks end. To top it off, Carter was too excited about all the activity I guess, and did not nap a single day. Arriving home from one of our social gatherings in the middle of the week, I turned to say something to Carter and found this…
Usually the kids like to take the plastic dishes out and stack them up, or fill them with things, pretend they are cars or just toss them all around the kitchen then run off and leave a mess behind. Not this day. Instead Hudson was walking around like this.
By the way, he was naked in the process of bedtime preparation, and yes, that is a cup from Tin Star.
I would love to tell you what he was doing but I was afraid to ask or give him any ideas.
(note from chad: i hope these pictures weren’t taken in order)
I know, I know, that was a week ago. But I figure it is never too late. We had a great family day going to church, playing in the yard, grilling and eating home made cheese cake icecream. Yummy! ( I have the recipe if you are interested) I am so thankful for Chad and the wonderful father and husband he is.
Chad, if I had known way back then how perfect we would be for each other, I would never have risked waiting for you to ask me, I would have proposed to you myself.
