unfortunately for hudson, he had an appointment today for that certain thing that happens to newborn boys. you know what i’m talking about. it involves a sharp instrument. so i took the morning off to offer moral support. we had some interesting dialogue with the nurse (i guess that’s what she was) who prepped him. with carter, we thought long and hard (ummmm…..no pun...

Hudson David Madden weight: 8lbs 11.5 oz height: 20 1/2 inches bday: 11:23pm, July 18, 2007 hudson decided it was time to join us, and he wasn’t messing around. jana’s water broke at 9:38 pm on wednesday night and hudson arrived at 11:23pm. if jana keeps going like this, the next baby (assuming) will come flying out like in Big Fish. timing couldn’t have been better. ...

i’ve been a negligent blogger. my main excuse is that we still have dial-up. it’s hard to get excited about a 10 minute upload time per picture. i’m thinking about finally taking the plunge and getting broadband, so the internet may soon be flooded with carter and hudson pics and video. another development that makes it more challenging to get pics is carter is such a big fan...

today was the original due date for hudson, until a sonogram revealed that he’s younger than we originally thought. i guess he could still be born today, but it’s pretty unlikely. i was pulling for it because i’m not great with dates…what could be easier to remember than 7.7.07? i guess i’m not the only one, i’ve read that record numbers of people are getting...
so this is why they make movies in LA
spent most of the weekend standing in mud, getting rained on, hauling heavy stuff around, sweating profusely, attempting to keep expensive electronics dry, and fighting off mosquitoes trying to drag me away. this is why they shoot movies in LA instead of Dallas. rented some fancy-pants gear for a bluefish project and had to get as much shot as i could with it, so put in a couple 14 hour days....
