carter busted out with amazing grace at the dinner table tonight.
we sing to him before bedtime, and every once in a while i get tired of singing old mcdonald and wheels on the bus and i throw in something else. i’ve done amazing grace a few times, but i had no idea he’d picked it up.

i slept well my first night back and thought i outsmarted the jet lag thing. then i proceeded to wake up at 4am the next two nights. oh well. i’ll have pics from africa up soon
greetings from rwanda
rwanda is a beautiful country. rolling hills and mountains covered in green. we’ve met some really cool people. also crossed the border into the democratic republic of congo and visited refugee camps full of thousands of displaced congolese. by far the worst thing i’ve ever seen. i’ll go into more detail when i get back, but do some reading about the situation. it’s a...
